About Me

My photo
Arne Schaefer
I started my love affair with the African continent some 60 years ago. Since then I have been an avid reader on all aspects of the continent's history, humanities and natural history. At one time or another I have been an amateur historian, archaeologist, zoologist, botanist, geologist and traveller. I run the business, AFRICANA BOOKS, with my part-time assistant, Zainu Vigis, from the basement part of my house, where we cram some 3500 volumes onto the shelves.
